Stromberg N & S thread insert - repair carb body damaged thread [STRI916]

Suits all Strombergs with 7/16” UNF threaded needle & seat 

Drill out your damaged fuel bowl and tap a new 9/16" UNF thread to accept this insert.

Apply a light coating of Loctite 542 or similar thread sealant to the OUTSIDE of the insert.  DO NOT USE TEFLON TAPE. 

DO NOT GET SEALANT ON THE INNER THREAD.

install the insert until it is flush with the outside of the carburettor fuel bowl.

Wait until the thread sealant is cured (read their directions) before installing your needle & seat.
